CAROL LLOYD, an original native of the South, was a transplant to the Midwest during her formative years.  She was there long enough to have the "Dunham experience" which ultimately channeled her gifts and focused the course of her destiny into the world of dance.

Founded in 1989
Born in Memphis, TN, Carol (Harris) Lloyd began her Dunham Technique training at the age of 15 in her hometown of Springfield, IL with Dunham protege Jackie Thompson. She performed briefly with Irepo African Dance (Denver, CO) and went on to pursue a career as a creative consultant and producer in the arts and entertainment arenas. Her credits include that of Founding Executive/Artistic director of the Dunham Institute-Atlanta, producer of the Theatre & Dance Programs with the Centennial Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad Program, Jermaine Dupri's "Can I Live" All Star Weekend Celebrity Birthday Bash, FunkRapFest (ATL-Explosion), Wheelbarrow Summer Theatre Festival, 22nd Annual Dunham Technique Seminar and of the first annual Dynamic Dance Festival.  A communication major with a concentration in Journalism, Carol attended Georgia State University.
