Dear Sir/Madame:
Ms. Harris has approached me for my approval in establishing a Dunham Technique Training Center in Atlanta. Her concept seems to me very sound, her enthusiasm boundless and her determination to fulfill this vision convincing.
I am pleased to offer Ms. Harris my wholehearted approval and cooperation on her project, which includes the use of my name and further assistance in developing the concept. My staff and I will provide ongoing direction in Dunham Technique and towards the fulfillment of this vision.
We are excited about the possibility of having the Dunham Technique Training Center, based on our early school in New York and our present Museum, Children’s Workshop and Institute for Inter-Cultural Communications, established in Atlanta, and we trust you will be as enthusiastic and supportive in achieving her goals as we are.
I sincerely hope that the City of Atlanta, the Board of National Black Arts Festival and whatever existing State and national foundations will appreciate her efforts and offer every aid and encouragement to the achievement of her ideals.
Sincerely,
Katherine Dunham
